Winter wedding favors

The most amazing day of my life was without shadow of a doubt the day my babies were born! Now after that it was my wedding day!

It was in my eyes a perfect wedding! I wished for all my loved ones to be there , I wished for snow to fall , I wished to dance all night and feel very tired next day! All of it happened! Well not all went perfectly. For example the cake was never opened haha! But those are little details that were not so important so it didn’t bother me the slightest !

Oh! I wished not to cry at the ceremony and FAILED miserably ! I was like a open tap from the moment I seen my groom waiting for me! I don’t look pretty in those pictures ๐Ÿ˜

Arranging everything was a lot of fun! From choosing the invitations to the decorations! It was very exciting and confusing ! We can find so many pretty things these days that it just makes it hard to choose! Lucky for me I wanted a winter wedding in the snow! So it wasn’t so hard in the end as my options were not as wide as for a summer wedding.

Through out the weeding plan i had this angel helping me with everything! A lovely lady called Diana ! I can honestly say I prob wouldn’t have done it without her help!

Cutting a long story short these were the wedding favors I went for! AND I LOVED THEM SO MUCH, AND I STILL DO!

Is a mocha mix in test tubes to put it simple.I love mocha!

  • Add the egg and butter, mix again
  • And finally add the milk
  • Mix it all in a mixer for 15 minutes(i don’t have a mixer ย so hands it is)

  • Make little rolls
  • Now coat the rolls with the extra egg and let it rise again to double size

Scrub it!

Who dosn’t like a satin like skin rite? I know I do and for so long I invested so much money on body scrubs, body lotions etc when I could of be doing it myself at home.

Not saying the ones we buy in the shops are not good, of course they are and they smell yummy too but lets admit it they are quite expensive.

Everyday on my daily search for new things online I many times came across people that brag about homemade products and how so much better for your health they are and how much money you can save if you just try to diy.

I now agree with all (or most of it) that I have read so far.

So after doing a bit of research (on pinterest) I found a few things I would like to try ,one of them being this amazing sugar based body scrub!

The benefits of homemade body scrub are many such as:

  • Helping to preventย acne
  • White heads
  • Blackheads
  • Removing dead skin cells, dirt and excess oil without drying the skin
  • The moisturizing effect can decrease the symptoms of skin diseases like eczema

These are only a few of them.

It takes close to no time to make it and costs close to nothing! Three ingredients or two (third is optional) .

So simple.

Here it is:

  • 3 parts raw sugar (i used raw sugar but you can use different one if you don’t like the feeling of this one)
  • 1 part coconut oil (i use the one from the local shop)
  • 15-20 drops of your favourite essential oil (this one is optional)

Mix it all up and that’s about it! Can be kept on a sealed jar for 2 months ๐Ÿ™‚

Easy much?? ๐Ÿ˜›

This one on the picture is with lavender. I’ve made it for the husband! Yes for the husband! I know.. men say “oh .. body scrubs… that’s for girls”. Yeah rite!!! this one is for him.. all said .. haha !

Now that i know diy beauty products are quite simple to do and they are quite amazing , at least this one is, i will try new ones ๐Ÿ™‚

Hope if you try this you’ll think the same after!

L’amour for french onion soup

Ah Pariiiissss (try to read this in a french accent, that’s how am saying it) ๐Ÿ™‚

Last week I was on my honeymoon in Paris and before i got there i was like “yeah paris .. Want to know what all the fuss is about” . Well i feel in love with it in minutes.

The culture, the history, the buildings and THE FOOD (and many other things)! mostly onion soup! Such simple dish rite!? So delicious tho! ย ๐Ÿ™‚

Of course i have tried it before but having it in a restaurant in paris it gives it a je ne sais quoi taste to it ๐Ÿ™‚

So when I comeback home I decided to try and make it.So here’s how i’ve made it:

I used

  • 1 kg of onion (white or red)
  • 50g of butter
  • 1 table sp olive oil
  • 1 table sp sugar
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 2 table sps plain flour
  • 250ml white wine
  • 1.3 l strong beef stock
  • slices of french bread
  • 140g of Gruyere cheese

First i’ve melted the butter with the olive oil in a pan.

Then added the onions thinly sliced and let it fry with the lid for about 10 minutes give or take.

Then added the sugar and let it cook until the onions caramelized stirring here and there. This took about 20 minutes.

Just before the onions were ready I added the garlic and then the flour and stir it well.

Gradually added the wine and the stock after. This with the heat up a bit.

Then let it cook for about 20 minutes.

I’ve toasted the slices of bread in the toaster then put them on top of the soup (already in bowls) , covered it with cheese (loads for me ,I love cheese) and took them to the oven grill to melt.

And voila!!!ย  ย  So simple rite?!

Absolutely love this soup , think I could eat it everyday ๐Ÿ™‚

I found this video were this funny french guy shows you how to make it .

If you try it I hope you love it as much as i do !

Tried it , loved it

You know when you type arrrggg for frustration or brrrr for cold etc? What will you type for when you put the kids into bed after a long day of cbeebies and peppa pig and “mummy Lincoln pushed meeeeee” or “mummy Summer hit meeeee” and finally you realize that all is quiet and you can finally sat down on the sofa?? relieve… anyway.. now that I am sat on the sofa and have a bit of time to myself i’ll write a quick post about something I tried and loved ๐Ÿ™‚

We all heard about coconut oil rite? And we all been expose to the enourmous list of benefits that comes from it rite?

Well yesterday I came across a list on facebook. One of the benefits is that it makes your hair shinier and smoother so I thought “Well might as well try it. Whats the worse that can happen? Get a very greasy hair?” So I did . And oh my goodness ย it works!! Ok it took me a couple of washes to get the oil off my hair (oh crap this does not come off ,I thought) but it did . After blow dry and straighten my hair it looks fantastic ๐Ÿ™‚ soooo soft !! I was so impressed i wanted to share ๐Ÿ™‚

So take it from me ladies coconut oil is the nuts ! Oh and i tried it on my hands (couldn’t really avoid it lol ) they were very smooth even after washing up etc..

Have a read to all different benefits that come from this amazing natural ingredient ย hereย and maybe give it a try after all whats the worst that can happen?

Now to tidy up toys arrrrggggggg !!! ๐Ÿ˜‰
