52 weeks photo challenge: week 32 – shallow depth of field

Has this week gone way too quick or is it just me!?

Here we are week 32 and for this week’s theme I chosen ‘shallow depth of field’.

This way of photograph is used mostly to isolate the main subject from it’s inviroment. Is very common to find it in portrait photography and macro photography. Shallow depth the field is also known as blurred background.

Here’s what to do :

1-Create a post entitled 52 weeks photo challenge:week-Theme

2-Create a ping back to this page or leave a link to your post in the comments box

3-Tag the post ’52 weeks’

I very much look forward to this weeks entries 🙂

Wish you all a great week.

Tuesday flower

Good morning all!

Ah spring is back finally and Switzerland is blooming with flowers every corner I turn! I should say that we had snow last week tho and looks like we will have it again this week which is slightly annoying only because I got in the spring mood and planted some flowers myself , so now I worry that the snow will ruin my little bit of gardening. We shall wait and see and hope for the best.

Tulips are one of my favorite flowers, specially these pointy looking ones. Next year I will try and plant some of these myself.

So this is the flower I choose mm for this week 🙂

Have a nice week everyone!

52 weeks photo challenge:week 31 – empty space

I am not even sure how to start this post after so long without posting anything or writing anything..

A lot has happen in the last month or so..

We moved house, the kiddies moved nurseries, I had my first job as a photographer, which I am so grateful for and still can’t believe it happen. We had so much on and to be honest still do, but things are settling into place now and we are now starting to get back to our routine.

These two photos are the view from our windows on the top floor of our new house! Not bad hey? Not bad at all… It’s details like this that makes it all worth it in the end .

So now back to our challenge. I apolosise again for my very long absence and to get back to it I choose the theme ’empty space’. In photography ’empty space’ is referred as ‘negative space’ . Negative space is the area that surrounds the main subject in your photo and occupies most of the photo.

Here’s what to do :

1-Create a post entitled 52 weeks photo challenge:week-Theme

2-Create a ping back to this page or leave a link to your post in the comments box

3-Tag the post ’52 weeks’

Hope too see your entries .

I will come back soon

Dear follower/blogger

I apologize for my absence !

Lots of things have been happening so I have decided to take a break to deal with it all!

I will comeback soon with a new theme.

In the mean time have a great week .

Wednesday Recipe

Sharing this delicious looking homemade recipe post from a fellow blogger for this week’s Wednesday recipe! Have a look at her blog .Defiantly worth it and mouth watering !

This is a yummy family dinner to add to the options! It’s so tasty and even better the next day! 😋😋
I took my inspiration from the athlete Derval O’Rourke’s recipe book and altered it slightly to make it easier. She has great options in her cookbook ‘Food for the Fast Lane’. Check it out!

The dish contains lentils, chicken and chorizo providing high protein so this is particularly good to have prepared and ready to heat after a workout or for our growing children. Lentils are a good source of iron and potassium, are low in fat and fairly high in fibre. Eat lentils with rice or millet to make a complete protein source containing all the amino acids needed by the body!

I love to double up and make extra which can go into the freezer for another day when I don’t have time or energy to cook…
